I am a Certified Professional Midwife and Licensed Midwife providing comprehensive midwifery care including well-woman care, adolescent gynecology, and of course, pregnancy, birth and postpartum care. I draw on over ten years of experience attending births in Humboldt County to provide midwifery care that is skillful, supportive and responsive to the individual and unique values of the families I serve.

Pregnancy and childbirth are profound, life-changing events for women and their partners. More than simply a physical process, the act of becoming a parent has a transformative impact on the social and emotional life of a family and ultimately on our community as a whole. It is a special time that deserves the upmost in tenderness and expertise. I believe that pregnancy and childbirth are natural states of mind, body and spirit that proceed beautifully with a minimum of intervention. My role as a midwife is to support and guide this process by providing highly individualized, one-on-one care that leads to birth experiences that are safe, enriched and satisfying.
